Kula Connect - The Place where India and Europe meet
Why are we starting this Community?
Between September and December 2022, I and Silvia was doing our exchange respectively at IIMB and IIMA
We did not know each other
True we are from the same university in Europe - ESCP Business School, but we had never met before, at that time
Upon coming back to Europe, we went back to our normal lives
We finished ESCP and graduated in July, and we both found a job, Silvia for a fintech company in Amsterdam and me for a startup in Milan
Long story short, I decided to quit my full-time job in Milan in December 2023, since I felt something was off and that I wanted to reconnect with my past
I started writing LinkedIn posts daily
I spent time doing things I enjoyed
I reconnected with my true self
In this process, I became nostalgic of my time in India and realized that I wanted to create a project about India
So I embarked on a journey of research, networking, and brainstorming about what could I have done to reconnect with India both spiritually and in business
However, after two weeks of thinking and trying different things, I felt stuck
I felt like I could not make it, and that I was not going on the right path
However, then this happened:
Me and Silvia met
From day one we realized that we shared the same ideas and the same goals:
✅ Stay connected with the Indian Business & Start-ups ecosystem
✅ Consolidate our Network
✅ Start a project we are passionate about
After a few weeks, we came up with the idea to create Kula Connect:
A community to connect people living in Europe and people living in India and help entrepreneurs and workers from India and Europe to connect and network

Well after this post we received many messages from people interested in collaborating with us in Building Kula Connect
One of those people was Onkar, a motivated Indian professional from Pune, who also attended ESCP Business School, who shared my and Silvia’s vision about the project and wanted to bring his perspective to the table
We are glad Onkar joined the team since he will be representing India in this project
